Classic car beats off stiff competition to claim top prize MOTOR mechanic Andy Brown scooped the prestigious Best Car in Show award with his stunning 42-year-old Vauxhall at a classic car gathering.
Andy, from Atherton, beat-off stiff competition from more than 2,000 entrants to take top award with his British-made beauty, a 1959 Vauxhall PA Cresta, at the Classic Car Spectacular at Tatton Park, Knutsford.
He is justifiably proud of his oldie, which has amazingly only covered 26,000 miles from new.
He said: "I purchased the car more than five years ago from its previous owner, who had locked it away for 24 years, and stripped and rebuilt it."
Andy's Cresta, resplendent in a two tone finish of royal glow/imperial ivory, is believed to be one of only ten of its model still in existence, . : Andy Brown with his pristine classic Vauxhall and Number One trophy (NON)
