TWO boys have appeared before Burnley Magistrates accused of plotting a house raid just yards from where pensioner Sheila Bridge recently died.
A 16-year-old and his 13-year-old co-defendant are accused of conspiracy to commit burglary and their cases were adjourned to the youth court at Reedley, next Monday, July 9.
Prosecutor David Macro said the victim of the alleged offence was a 90-year-old man and he lived a very short distance from the house where "tragic consequences," occured in Lansbury Place, Nelson.
The 16-year-old was granted conditional bail and the 13-year-old was remanded into the care of the local authority.
The eldest boy must observe a 7pm to 9am curfew while not at school and must not contact his co-accused.
Six youngsters aged as young as ten were charged with manslaughter following Mrs Bridge's death last week.
