I WOULD like to thank all those who have written to the Citizen on the subject of the raid on the Warehouse nightclub.
I have severe reservations about this incident, in particular:
1. The consideration the police gave to the impact of their operations on innocent bystanders.
2.The way in which police set their priorities. In my opinion, greatest priority should be given to criminal activity which has the most serious effects on people's lives.
3.The importance the police attach to their work being respected and supported by all caring members of the community.
Once the court cases linked to the raid have been dealt with, and there can be no reason for withholding information, I intend to meet with the Divisional Commander for this area to discuss what can be learnt from the incident.
If anyone has any matters they would like raised that have not previously been covered in Citizen letters please do contact me.
