TWO Lancaster county councillors are to sit in the county's first cabinet.
Skerton county councillor Niki Penney will take on the communications, Information & Lifelong Learning portfolio while Ruth Henig (Lancaster East) will be in charge of 'cross cutting issues', meaning issues which affect more than one department.
The first cabinet meeting will be at 10.30am on July 12 at County Hall, Preston and will be open to the public.
The City Council is also set to formally move to cabinet Government this month.
