LANCASHIRE companies involved in the environmental industry are being offered the opportunity to break into lucrative markets in Hungary.
Business support agency Nimtech is organising British interest at OKOTECH, an international trade fair that will take place in Hungary between September 30 and October 6.
A DTI-subsidised package is available that includes flights to Budapest, hotel accommodation, an exhibition stand and exclusive receptions. Business support services will also be available from Leyland-based Enterprise plc.
Peter Lernyei, Hungarian business specialist at Enterprise, said the exhibition was a must for companies in the environmental and municipal technology sectors.
"OKOTECH 2001 offers a golden opportunity for environmental companies to be in pole position to secure business before Hungary joins the European Community," he said.
"Hungarian legislation, environmental limit levels and best practice are to be adapted to European standards prior to accession which means that British companies are able to secure what is, potentially, an enormous amount of business."
