MOVE over Boyzone, Westlife and Five -- make room for Blackpool boyband Storm Force.
The new pop sensations made their debut performance at the Star pub at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Friday, June 29, and went down a storm with the packed audience.
The band consists of 23-year-olds Stuart Eastham and Chris Caine Ward, from Wigan, Craig Halliday, 22, from Bradford and 24-year-old Mal McLaughlin, from Wallsend, Newcastle.
These boys are no strangers to the stage and Mal has most recently appeared as a hopeful in the TV series Popstars, making it down to the final 20. Fellow bandmate Craig's credits include appearances in stage shows Phantom of the Opera and Whistle Down The Wind.
The band's routine features hits by the Beatles, Madonna and Robbie WIlliams as well as the old Andy Williams favourite Music To Watch The Girls Go By. Although they may not sound very original so far, the band does bring something a little different to their performance.
The band also has the added advantage that all the members can sing, unlike many of today's pop stars. And if all that wasn't enough, the lads are young, trendy and good looking -- definitely a big hit with the girls.
Storm Force are at the Star until Nov 4, Monday to Saturday (except Thursdays) at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Admission is free.
