ST ANNES charity carnival will swing into action on July 7 with a colourful procession and funfair.
Since 1978, the regular event has raised a staggering £40,000 for charity and organisers are promising a bigger than ever carnival day.
Attractions will include Cubbin's funfair in Ashton Gardens, various stalls, and a procession which will meet at 9.30am in St George's Road for judging before setting off round the town centre at 10.30am.
Parade marshall Beverley Harrison said: "We have a new section this time and it's a walking tableaux because people find it difficult getting floats. If people wish to take part they can contact me on 729119."
