EVERYTHING is coming up roses again for gardeners who were grounded by callous thieves.
But thanks to a brilliant public response, the Orchard Gardens Co-operative is back in action.
The Leigh-based community gardening group, which is operated by people with learning disabilities, was left distraught two weeks ago, when thieves stole equipment and machinery, putting all 15 staff out of work.
But thanks to help and support from the community, the group now has a full complement of tools again and is able to continue with the job it loves -- helping people.
Orchard Garden spokesman John Kennedy wants to thank everyone for their generosity, which now means the group has replacement equipment and a safe storage place.
He said: "It's a very happy ending which came about through kindness and has helped restore our faith in human nature. Thank you all so very much."
