LURCHER owner John Smethurst wants to find the rogue who stole his running dog.
Mr Smethurst, of Lynton Road, Tyldesley, is worried about his prize-winning Nell, a liver-coloured bitch that has gone missing from his home.
Mr Smethurst is appealing for any information about his Bedlington cross greyhound, Nell.
The five-year-old bitch was stolen from her kennel at John's home in the Sale Lane area last Friday night.
John returned home to find the padlock on the kennel prised open and Nell missing.
Nell, who has won awards at various shows including the Astley and Tyldesley Lurcher Show, is a working dog and being a rare liver colour, is easily recognisable.
Her concerned owner said: "She is very quiet and laid back, but she only answers to me. I'm concerned about her welfare, she will be petrified."
Anyone with any information should contact the police who have been notified of the theft.
