BUSINESSES, offices and shops all over Bacup and Stacksteads tucked into a strawberry teas and helped to raise money for local good causes.
Members of Bacup Rotary Club and their wives spent five hours making up the teas at the Masonic Hall, off Burnley Road, Bacup, and then distributing them.
They served a scone topped with whipped cream and strawberries and a slice of home-made Victoria sandwich.
The event raised £560 for local charities and 440 teas were served.
Immediate Past President Nick Stratton said: "A nice touch was when we went into Beta Industrial where they held a dress down day and staff paid not to wear normal work clothes and they gave the money raised to us."
