TIM Street still has a big part to play as Leigh start their preparations for the NFP play-offs.
The long-serving prop brought the curtain down on his league career last Sunday but now has three games in which to go out with a bang.
"What would be nicer than for Tim than to be a part of the a Leigh team that wins the Grand Final," says coach Paul Terzis.
"I've come to know just how much this club means to Tim and what sacrifices he's made to play for it. What a send-off for Tim to go into retirement with a Grand Final winners medal. We'll be doing everything we can to help do that for him.
"Tim's career might be coming to a close, but he's still a vital part of our plans for the semi-final series.
"Tim was moved by the reception he got against York and what a joy it was for him to not only grab a couple of tries but land four from four with the boot. That sent the fans home happy and had Timmy scouring his contract for anything that said '£100 per goal'!"
"I thought the 84-1 scoreline was fantastic. We set ourselves a few goals during the game and we achieved them all.
"We're undefeated at Hilton Park for 16 months now and if we keep that record going over the next few weeks, we'll be in the Grand Final.
"We can't wait."
