STAFF at Woolworths in Burnley are hoping that a charity fun day held at the weekend will have taken them one step nearer their fundraising target of £2,500.
The store has chosen Westway School, in March Street, as their charity for the year and is hoping to collect enough money to help buy a minibus bus for the school by the end of the year.
The fun day on Saturday included a ball pool, bouncy castle, face painting, tombola, raffle and balloons.
There was also a chance for Burnley FC supporters to throw a wet sponge or two at a Blackburn Rovers fan, locked in the stocks.
