A MAN has been charged with carrying out two racially motivated petrol bomb attacks in Accrington 12 days ago.
Rajab Ali, 20, of Empress Street, Accrington, is due to appear before Hyndburn Magistrates today charged in connection with a fire to a Ford Fiesta in Gloucester Avenue and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic School, Bradshaw Road.
Detectives charged him with racially aggravated criminal damage on Saturday.
A 16 year-old was also arrested, but released pending further enquiries.
The petrol bomb attacks were among several incidents on Thursday, June 28, as racial tension from Burnley spilled over onto the streets of Accrington.
