BOLTON and Bury Chamber is urging local employers to shake off their apathy to the Government's new stakeholder pensions and start preparing now.
And Radcliffe business bosses are invited to attend a briefing on the issue next Tuesday. (July 10).
Mr Andrew Ratcliff, Chamber chief executive, said: "Employers have just three months left to nominate a stakeholder pension scheme for their staff or risk being fined up to £50,000.
"We are aware that many local businesses haven't even considered the issue. Yet, time is running out for them."
The Chamber's stakeholder pensions breakfast is at Bolton's Smithills School. Radcliffe employers can find out what they have to do to comply with the new law.
The briefing is free to Chamber members, but non-members can pay £10 to attend.
