TRIALS: Dougie Lampkin, who rides for Burnley-based Sandiford Motorcycles team, took a significant step towards winning his fifth consecutive World Outdoor title when he secured an important victory on the second day of the French event.
Edging another three points clear of his Japanese team mate Fujinami in the title race, Lampkin extended his advantage to a healthy fifty five points.
This may allow him to seal the championship at next weekend's penultimate round in Andorra, should he continue his present run of excellent form.
