REGARDING the 'wish-list' that residents of Blackburn's Audley area have improvements they would like to see in their neighbourhood (LET, June 30), what about a wish-list for the residents of Little Harwood?
I have lived in this area more than 50 years and it is an utter disgrace.
There are uneven and patched-up pavement flags, dilapidated houses, crumbling walls, dirty back alleys that my grandfather walked on as a lad.
There are also non-trading, shuttered shops and a burnt-out, boarded-up pub right in the centre of Little Harwood -- not a pretty sight.
Will someone from the council please tell me why it is that, time after time, money goes to the same old areas -- namely, Whalley Range and Audley?
H HAMER, Lowther Place, Little Harwood, Blackburn.
