ROVERS boss Graeme Souness hasn't closed the door completely on a move for Celtic midfielder Eyal Berkovic.

Berkovic, keen to leave the Scottish Premier League champions, helped Blackburn clinch promotion during his loan spell at Ewood last season.

And while the Israeli international doesn't top Souness's shopping list, a move could be revived if Rovers move other players out.

The manager said: "We have got players who are available and it depends on what happens. We have a budget to use to strengthen the areas we need to strengthen.

"Eyal did very well for us and he's somebody I like, although it's not a priority position at the moment."
