REGARDING the complaint by Mr William Coppack about having to wait three weeks for the result of his endoscopy examination (LET, July 3).
I had one two months ago and I was told within minutes of having the operation that there was nothing seriously wrong with me -- only a stomach infection.
I was told while still sitting on the operating table, so I find it hard to believe Mr Coppack was not told in the same time.
If he was so concerned for his result he should have asked if anything was wrong before he left -- because it was explained to me before the operation that the information would be available before I left.
ROY DAVIES, Olive Lane,
Darwen.
