A £15,000 caravan was destroyed and a car wrecked following two arson attacks in Bury this morning.
Firefighters were called out at 2.40am to Trent Drive, Limefield, where the rear tyres of a Ford Fiesta had been set on fire.
As crews raced to the scene, the occupants of a house in nearby Lumb Street were woken by a smoke alarm after an arsonist set fire to a four-week-old caravan outside the house.
Flames spread to the house causing substantial damage to the roof.
Police have launched an investigation into both attacks.
