QUARRY fall teenager Keeley Knapper is recovering from her ordeal in hospital.
Keeley, 14, of Harrison Drive, Colne, was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital after the incident at Bull Rock, Red Lane, Colne, on Monday.
She suffered a fracture to a bone in her spine. Her condition was today described as "comfortable".
Michael Dewhurst, 17, of Cambridge Street, Colne, suffered arm injuries in the incident and was taken to Burnley General Hospital.
The accident happened when Keeley, a student at Park High School, Colne, was going to sit on a rock but slipped. She fell over the edge and Michael fell after her when trying to grab her.
The incident sparked off a major rescue operation involving the air ambulance, Rossendale Search and Rescue team, and the other emergency services.
