POLICE in Colne are appealing for information about a burglary in which £1,500 worth of property was stolen.
Thieves kicked in a back door panel at an unoccupied semi-detached house in Stanroyd Road, between 9am on Saturday and 11.50am on Sunday, and searched all the rooms.
They stole items including an Amstrad video recorder, PlayStation games, a Canon video camera and a glass and brass ornate trinket box.
A witness said she saw a man and two youths near the house and inside the garden and saw them walk on to Cotton Tree Lane and to a small white van.
The man was described as in his 40s, 5ft 11ins, with dark rimmed glasses, wearing overalls.
He was accompanied by a teenager with brown hair, wearing a white top and another white male carrying a red holdall and drinking a pint of milk at the side of the house.
