SOUNESS remains on the look-out for a right-sided midfield player and left-sided defender to add to a squad which he hopes will be strengthened next week by the award of a work permit to number one target Tugay.
"I feel he's the type of player we don't have at the club. He's more of a holding type midfield player," said Souness.
"We asked Garry Flitcroft to do that last year and he was outstanding at doing that. But if you ask Garry where he'd prefer to play, it's more of an attacking midfield player, someone who likes to get into the box all the time.
"We're hoping that if we get Tugay that will release Garry to do that role and again with Tugay it will give us competition for places where I feel we've not had."
