TRAFFIC-wise, Parr Industrial Estate must rank among the busiest sites within the borough. Yet nowhere, that I am aware of, are there any signs pointing to its exact location.
It is also the same for traffic leaving the estate -- no directional signs. Because of this, numerous drivers of vehicles of all sizes are having to ask for directions to and from the area.
Having been a truck driver myself (now retired) I know how frustrating and time-consuming this can be. The estate must contribute quite a lot of revenue for the town and on those grounds, surely deserves some 'publicity'.
Could the lack of this be due to the belief in some parts that some of our 'caring' council members still regard Parr as alien territory?
