I AM writing to complain about the non-stop traffic that comes up and down Tasker Terrace, Rainhill to use the recycling site. I would like to point out that the residents who live here are suffering due to this.

I would like to ask Mersey Waste would it not be possible to have further sites to use and to reduce the opening times of the one in Tasker Terrace? This would maybe encourage people to use different sites.

People seem to enjoy waiting until the weekend to cause long traffic queues and chaos in Tasker Terrace. I know people need to dispose of rubbish in the correct manner, but anyone who lives near a recycling site will understand how annoying it is.

In the past I have seen traffic queues from the site going on to Rainhill Road which, in my opinion, is ridiculous. Mersey Waste should be made aware of this and attempt to help the residents of Tasker Terrace.

My other point is for St Helens Council and ask why we have no residential parking which causes a lot of ill-mannered people to park outside our houses without any concern at all.

I have had my car damaged through having to park on the opposite side of the road. We have recently had the police telling us to move our vehicles from certain places.

It annoys me to think that there is no concern at all from the council. They are quick enough to take their charges from us, but are slow in giving anything back.

We have expressed these concerns on numerous occasions to no avail, this is no good for anyone. The lorries that shoot up and down the road each day are dangerous.
