SILVER Surfers over the age of 55 have grown more confident online than Britain's youths.
Barclays consumer internet confidence index reveals that older net users are spending more of their valuable gardening time staring at a computer screen rather than pruning their hedges.
Meanwhile the number of 15 to 24-year-olds banking online has grown by 12% since December.
