THEATRE bosses today urged people not to turn up to a sell-out woodland show in Darwen and warned 'you will not get in'.
'The Hobbit' will be Darwen Library Theatre's first ever outdoor performance and is due to take to the stage in Bold Venture Park on Wednesday July 18.
Tickets for the amateur theatre production sold out in weeks and an extra night even had to be arranged to give another 100 people the chance to see the performance.
Theatre-goers desperate to watch the show have even been paying double the going rate of £6.50 so they can get their hands on tickets.
Now due to the overwhelming ticket sales, organisers said they will be turning people away on the night if they do not have a ticket.
Rob Howell from Darwen Library Theatre said: "I think it's really flattering that we've had tickets for the show being sold on the black market. Rehearsals have been going really well and the costumes look fantastic.
"But we will be turning people away on the night if they do not have a ticket and people will not be allowed in under any circumstances if they do not have one."
