A COMMUNITY mural project has expanded into another room of the Sunnycrest Community Centre at 78, Pennine Road, Bacup.
Artist Christine Worswick is working with local people to create designs in the centre to brighten the interior.
Already a gardening project has been 'brought inside' with plants and flowers being painted on the walls of the large meeting room at the centre.
The scheme it to move into a corridor, being made into a beach scene with items relating to Rossendale.
Project worker Derek Allen said: "In response to several requests, we have decided to bring the seaside to Rossendale and are going to paint the communal hallway.
"We will also be able to make it 3D and have a deckchair for people to sit on and possibly sand and buckets for children to play with."
Anyone who wants to get involved with the mural project can call into the centre.
