RAMSBOTTOM'S Antipodean willow wielder Brad Hodge scored another ton in his side's close nine-run victory over Lowerhouse in an entertaining game at Acre Bottom.
The professional cracked seven sixes and six fours in his 113 and he was helped by 56 from Nick Riley as the Rams posted 213-4 in their 36 overs.
It looked like a tough target, especially when opener Matt Hope went for a duck, but stand-in professional Claude Henderson's 69 took the score up, supported by Frankie Entwistle with 49.
Both fell to the bowling of Hodge, who finished with figures of four for 46, but it was an exciting finale as Lowerhouse chased the target.
Dave Whalley with 17 and Jez Hope's 14 meant the game went to the wire, but in the end it was Ramsbottom who picked up maximum points.
Ramsbottom had to settle for three points on Saturday after their game against Enfield was hit by the weather.
