THE Blackburn Diocese has launched a search for people over 75 in the hope they can pull together enough information to set up a living history project.
Organisers of the scheme want to contact people who were born in 1926 -- the year the Blackburn Diocese was founded -- or who have memories of that time.
The project is aiming to carry out recorded interviews with people across Lancashire, concentrating on how their living and working conditions have changed.
Project leader Canon Chris Rich, diocesan director for social responsibility, said: "We want to record a picture of what life was like and in particular how the surrounding environment has changed."
