PUPILS from Holy Cross RC High School satisfied an appetite for culture and a thirst for knowledge when they visited Szekesfehaver, Chorley's twin town in Hungary.
A party of pupils and staff from the school in Burgh Lane, Chorley, have just returned from the town where they stayed with families of pupils at the town's school.
Holy Cross headteacher Tony Charnock said the trip included the choir giving an excellent concert.
They even appeared on Hungarian regional television news as well as receiving coverage from the local press and radio.
Mr Charnock said: "The pupils enjoyed their visit - experiencing Hungarian food, culture and the beautiful weather.
"They visited many places including Budapest, Herend Porcelain Works, Lake Balaton and Vezprem."
He said the pupils proved to be great ambassadors for Chorley.
And he added the Hungarian pupils were keen to visit here next year, which marks the tenth anniversary of the twin town agreement.
