POLICE had to deal with a slippery customer when they were called to a Radcliffe house.
Officers quickly called for support from the RSPCA after a four-and-a-half foot brown snake was discovered in a house in Saxon Street at 9.25pm last Friday (July 6).
However, the snake managed to escape with RSPCA inspectors virtually removing the kitchen cabinets in a bid to find the scaly intruder.
A spokesman for the RSPCA said: "The homeowner managed to contain the snake in the kitchen but it somehow got away."
