TWO thieves posing as water board officials tricked their way into the house of an 87-year-old man between 11am and 1pm on Friday, June 29.
Once inside the house in St Margaret's Road, Leyland, one of the thieves distracted the man while the other searched the house before stealing cash and jewellery.
Both thieves were men. One was white, around 18 years old, with short, dark hair and a tanned complexion. He was wearing a dark jacket and trousers.
His accomplice was white, around 25 years, 5ft 9ins, medium build with short, dark hair and wearing a green jumper.
At around 12.35am on Tuesday, July 3, a gang of thieves attacked a man in Deepdale Road, Preston. After chasing him to his home address the group tried to steal the victim's mobile telephone.
The main two culprits were men. One was 18 years, thin build, blonde hair and wearing a baseball cap, trainers, and riding a BMX-style bike.
The second was in his early 20s, well built with medium-length black hair.
At around 7.55pm on Tuesday, July 3, a thief smashed the window of a red Subaru Forester Estate car parked in the Clifton House car park in Lucerne Road, Fulwood.
He stole a Toshiba lap-top computer, model
EA126EYXEN95, serial no L58530729EPCN0099.
It was valued at £1,700.
The thief was white, 19 to 20 years, of slim build with short, brown curly hair and wearing a blue-hooded Nike jacket and black tracksuit trousers. He made his getaway in a red N-reg Ford Fiesta.
