RECORDS, not just titles, are the aim of Chris Goddard as he prepares for the Northern and British Masters swimming championships.
The Accrington fireman is aiming for five crowns at Macclesfield in the Northern Championships in eight weeks' time and feels he is capable of some new best times.
"I have moved up an age band and feel strongly that I should make my mark in the group," said Chris, from Baxenden.
"I held all five titles in the 35-40 group and now in the 40-45 category I want to do the same.
"But, having held the titles for two years, I am preparing to try for five records."
Chris will go in the 50, 100 and 200 metres freestyle plus the 100m butterfly and 100m individual medley.
