SCHOOLCHILDREN are already preparing for their new start at school next September with the help of 'transfer' session.
Pupils at St Cuthbert's Primary School, in St Alban's Road, Darwen, will spend part of Tuesday swapping their old classroom and teacher for a new one.
Headteacher Janet Grime said: "The children move round the classes to meet their new teacher for the day and look what their new classroom's going to look like. It helps to allay a few fears they might have about changing environments but it's a fun day they all seem to like."
Today is also the last day for the Busy Bee Club, which is a weekly club that lets future four-year old pupils and their parents get used to the school.
