HEAVY rainfall on Saturday didn't dampen bike show-goers' enthusiasm, but it emphasised why the Fenrir Motorcycle Brotherhood motorbike club calls its annual event the Grim Up North rally.
Shiny, thundering custom bikes, rock music and fun was on the agenda at the two-day and three-night rally, held for the fifth successive year at Atherton Collieries' football ground.
As in previous years, when rallyists have had to bring a can of pet food as part of the conditions of admittance, profits from the event have been donated to animal helpers Petsearch (UK).
