A TRAINEE teacher has won a top prize for her hard work.
Susan Roberts is studying for a BA (Hons) degree with qualified teacher status in primary education and mathematics at Edge Hill College of Higher Education, Ormskirk.
The 34-year-old, of Chandler Way, Lowton, has been awarded a prize for gaining the best mark of all first-year students on the course.
Mark Flinn, Edge Hill's director of academic affairs and quality management, presented Susan with her award. He said: "We have seen some first-rate work this year and to win an award is an outstanding achievement."
