A WOMEN'S support group for problem drinkers needs volunteers to man a new information line.
The Leigh-based Willow Project is extending its drop-in service to other parts of the borough, and help will be needed for the new link.
The group, which supports women worried about their own or someone else's drinking, is funded by the Community Fund.
Its existing drop-in on Friday afternoon offers support, information and one-to-one therapy, and gives women the space to talk in a comfortable environment with others facing similar problems.
Three further sessions are to be provided at different times of the day at community venues across the borough, and the information line will be an important connection to provide details on these.
A project spokesman said: "We would welcome the support from women who can spare a few hours a week. We will offer full training, a chance to learn new skills, on-going support and expenses."
For further information, an application form, or details of the meetings ring 01942 679300 or write to the Willow Project, PO Box 8, Leigh, WN7 1FB.
