SO, the liberal elite are at it again.

I refer to the parole board's decision to release the killers of little James Bulger. This is of great concern to many, for their freedom will pose severe problems for the authorities and considerable expense for the overstretched tax payer.

They now require a new identity, constant monitoring and protected anonymity. Then, of course, there is the big problem, trusting them in society and convincing society that they are to be trusted. Should we have been surprised at the outcome of the parole hearing? The Bulger family's hopes and wishes have been totally ignored by all levels of officialdom.

Before the board made their decision, there was one question they should all have asked themselves: would we allow these two convicted child-killers to take care of our child or grandchild for the afternoon? To take him or her to the park to feed the ducks, play on the swings or participate in any other delights that are part of a young child's development?

I suggest the answer would be no, so in this instance there can only be one course of action to pursue: they must remain out of harm's way and stay in prison for life.
