LAST week I wrote about a Tyldesley resident who complained to me about the rubbish state of the backs between Primrose Street and Well Street Tyldesley.
Well I'm glad to report they've been cleaned up and are now nice and tidy.
I can't claim to have worked miracles, but for a good example of how cobbled back alleys can look, they should take a gander at a back behind homes at the junction of Stanley Street and Mayfield Street, Atherton.
It looks lovely.
It is gated off, but residents have taken the trouble to display hanging baskets and pots of flowers and trellises to make it a delight.
It's a great example of what everyone who lives in a back to back house with an entry can do to brighten up their lives and everyone else's.
