PARENTS of violent schoolchildren will be fined if they fail to keep their kids in line.
Parenting orders which have only applied to children outside school will now cover behaviour in the classroom too.
That's a move that will be welcomed by teachers.
Schools will be able to go to court to force disruptive pupils and their parents to attend counselling.
And mums and dads will be made to promise to ensure that their children attend school, stay away from children they have bullied, and live within a curfew.
The orders can last for a year, but can be extended. If the children continue to misbehave, the parents will face fines of up to £1,000.
There really shouldn't be any need for this.
What sort of a society are we when children are allowed to rule the roost?
