FOOTBALLER Lenny Johnrose met his perfect match when he got married to sweetheart Nadine Robinson.

The Clarets midfielder, who also played for Blackburn Rovers, scored at Fulwood Methodist Church, in Preston, near to where he lives.

The midfield battler was brought to Turf Moor by Stan Ternent from Bury for the start of the 1998/99 season.

He unfortunately missed most of last season through injury.

But Lenny is hoping his honeymoon break in Rome will leave him refreshed for the start of the current campaign next month.

Nadine, a student, was given away by her father Pete Robinson.

She was also attended by Chanel Johnrose, Aimee and Leanne Richardson and Jodie Clayton.

Lenny, who is the youngest son of Agnes Johnrose, of Preston, was tightly marked on the big day by best man Fran Johnrose.

The couple will live in Walton-le-Dale, Preston.
