ROBBIE WILLIAMS: Eternity (EMI) - Apparently written when he was on holiday with Geri Halliwell, this song does little to reflect the mood of such a vacation. Slow and long (almost eternally so), this is far from Robbie at his best. Love-lorn her may have been, but what more inspiration should a bloke need before writing a best-seller than Geri Halliwell cavorting in a bikini in the sea off St Tropez? (6/10) DH
ECHOBASS: The Weakest Link (House of Bush) - Yes, it's true, Anne Robinson's voice has been set to music and it isn't very impressive I'm afraid. Garage-style music with repetitive phrases like 'It's votes that count' and a rapper who tells you how the programme works: "Round and round questions go, Where will it stop, nobody knows." Get the picture? Yes, it is the weakest link, goodbye. (4/10) DH
DAMAGE: So What If I (EMI) -- A group everyone has heard of, but who no-one can name a tune from unless they are dedicated fans. The original is nothing much to rave about, it sounds rather samey, but the dance mixes liven it up to become one of those songs you'll hum along to if not remember for ever. (6/10) DH
Albums
NUKLEUZ IN IBIZA (Nukleuz) -- If Ibiza is all poppy dance tunes and Dave Pearce, this album is not for you. If Ibiza is, however, the chance to pick up on the latest dance sounds, be they trance, house or even a bit of garage, then check this out. Only the finest cuts make it into this mix, from an album series which is building a very credible reputation for itself. (7/10) DH
THE REINDEER SECTION: Y'all scared now, ya hear! (Bright Star) -- A collection of musicians, including members of Mogwai and Belle and Sebestian, have come together to create this debut album and is different to say the least.
Well worth a listen if you want to hear something new, original and positively Scottish in temperament! (7/10) DH
DAVE NAVARRO: Trust No-one (Capitol) -- The former Red Hot Chili Peppers member's album is as explosive as his former band's namesake is hot. With lyrics which reflect the feelings of the world-weary, the album reflects heavily on things many people will relate to. Fresh, new and innovative. (8/10) DH
