THE Trough of Bowland Road has re-opened after being closed since last November following a land-slide.
County Council engineers have carried out extensive work to make the road and the surrounding hillsides safe after a prolonged period of heavy rain in October and November of last year led to landslides.
A spokesman explained: "We are sure local people will be delighted that the road is to reopen. "The closure had to remain in place until the weather improved enough for essential work to be carried out safely."
