NIGEL Evans is calling on all Lancashire's MPs to vote to restore Gwyneth Dunwoody and Donald Anderson to their Select Committees.
Mrs Dunwoody was stripped of her chairmanship of the transport committee and Anderson lost the chair of the foreign affairs committee.
He fought a series of running battles with the government over arms sale to Sierra Leone. The former Culture Secretary, Chris Smith will replace him.
Select Committees are appointed by the house to perform a variety of tasks on the House's behalf, including scrutinising the work of the Government departments and advising on the procedures and domestic administration of the House.
The Ribble Valley MP believes that the impartiality of the committees are under threat.
He said: "They have given enormous service to the country. On Monday night all members of the house have the opportunity to restore some sense of democracy to Parliament.
"I am calling on all Lancashire MPs to vote to restore both Gwyneth Dunwoody and Donald Anderson back on to their Select Committees and ensure their experience and sense of balance is not lost to the country."
