A COUNCILLOR claimed that junior size goalposts were not being put up at the Fallbarn playground in Rawtenstall because someone might wander into them and knock themselves out and claim against the authority.
Coun June Forshaw told the full council: "This is absolutely barmy and should not happen."
Coun Christopher Wadsworth, chairman of the planning and engineering committee said he would contact Rossendale Groundwork who were carrying out the improvement work at the playing fields.
