TEENAGERS in Darwen will be able to liven up their summer holidays at the touch of a button with the launch of a free computer workshop.
Youngsters aged between 12 and 16 are invited to join the one-week course and have a go at creating their own specialised photos, images and cartoons.
The event is being run by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council in conjunction with the New Opportunities Fund and Education and Training as part of the Summer Slam 2001 project.
Participants will be able to learn and develop new skills and impress their friends with artistic and professional publications, combining photography, creativity and information technology.
Sessions will run at Earcroft Community Base at Hollins Grove Congregational Church, in Blackburn Road, Darwen, between Monday, August 6 and Friday, August 10. Enrolment forms from the town centre library.
