A COUPLE with backgrounds in theatre are hoping to attract youngsters from Burnley and Pendle to their Xcell Theatre Arts summer school.
Andrew Husband and Janet Parkinson, of Camden Street, Nelson, held a week of workshops at Easter when they introduced youngsters to theatre. They hope to build on that success.
The summer school will run from July 30 to August 10 so the couple can introduce even more activities.
Andrew said: "In the first week there will be the opportunity to try acting, singing, dancing and backstage work.
"During the second we will encourage students to write and create their own performance pieces, allowing them to have a great deal of input into our end of summer performances."
The couple have found a new venue for the workshops at Haggate Baptist Sunday School, in Burnley Road, Harle Syke.
