SUMMERSEAT Players are dancing for joy after receiving a cheque for nearly £3,000.
The money was raised by pupils of the Ramsbottom-based Dalton School of Dance at their annual show.
All four performances of their variety show staged at the Theatre Royal were a sell-out. Together with the proceeds of the raffles, they raised £2,800.
Dance teacher Heather Dalton said: "This is the highest amount we have raised. Every year we support a local charity. The Summerseat Players have been very good to us and they are a local charity."
Around 60 cast members, ranging from five-year-olds to adults, brought the house down with their performances from hit musicals.
