YEAR six children from St Peter's RC School, Newchurch, have left a lasting reminder of their time at the school.
The 19 pupils have spent the last few months working with artist Peter Hall, from Pennine Studios in Burnley, to create a clay 3D relief of St Peter, which is now on permanent display in the school foyer.
School secretary Mrs Margaret Johnson said: "It is absolutely brilliant, it shows St Peter, a fishing boat and the quays. They have left a little bit of themselves at the school forever."
An unveiling and blessing service was carried out by parish priest Father Gerard Duffy.
