FOUR teenagers have appeared in court charged in connection with the fire bomb attacks in Accrington last month.
Rajab Ali, 19, of Empress Street, Accrington; Arffan Hussain, 18, of Tremellen Street, Accrington and a 16-year-old Accrington schoolboy, who can not be named for legal reasons, all appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with conspiracy to commit arson.
A 17-year-old juvenile was due to appear before Hyndburn magistrates yesterday on the same charge.
Libby Reed, prosecuting, said the conspiracy charge covered incidents in Gloucester Avenue, when a car was set on fire, at Central Car Sales, Hyndburn Road, Sacred Heard RC School, Bradshaw Lane, and Glynn Webb, Blackburn Road, on June 28.
All three defendants were sent to Burnley Crown Court where they will appear on August 1.
They were granted bail on condition that they do not enter Hyndburn or Burnley, surrender their passports, do not leave the United Kingdom, do not associate with each other, do not contact any prosecution witnesses, report to the police three times a week and obey a curfew between 7pm and 7am.
Ali was bailed to an address in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Hussain to an address in Northolt, Middlesex, and the juvenile to an address in Birmingham.
